EXCERPT :- How many times have you contemplated starting your own business and then put that thought on the back burner until the urge hits you again? You're not alone! There are thousands who insist that this will be the day to finally take charge of their personal and financial destinies-but only a select crowd who actually do it. If you're among that special group of entrepreneurs who vow to take control and stands ready and prepared for the sometimes bumpy yet never boring road to business ownership and the immeasurable rewards that follow, roll up your sleeves and climb aboard, I've put together a book whose ideas and methods I've adhered to since the day I declared myself an entrepreneur. Because we live in a society where the wealth of a nation is not distributed equally, we as African Americans, are obligated to ensure that not only our personal financial wellbeing is on solid ground through business ownership, but that we selflessly offer and leave behind the tools that will enable and extend to our descendants the ability to harvest the fruits of a bountiful labor. Take this book and practice what I'm teaching-one step at a time. That's how anything is achieved-one step at a time-and when you encounter a glitch, don't give up, simply find another way around it or over it-but never ever quit. Remember, there will always be a future generation looking back to see where you left off so they'll know where to pick up and being an entrepreneur or small business owner is the perfect avenue on which to leave your lasting mark!
