S. Chand & Company Ltd., with a definite corporate objective is rendering its services to the society mainly through education. It was simply the diligence and devotion of the great visionary Late Shyam Lal Gupta that gave the company its present shape. After his death his sons Late Rajendra Gupta and the present Managing Director Shri Ravindra Kumar Gupta, gave the company a new dynamism. Under them the Company grew rapidly to become a colossus in the Indian publishing Industry.
Shri Himanshu Gupta representing the third generation of our publishing house has now joined the Company as a top management associate to guide the Company's global vision in the new millennium.
S. Chand & Company Ltd. Has bagged one more laurel on its shoulders for being the first ever Publishing Company in India, who has attained the certificate of ISO 9002. It has certainly created a history in Book Publishing Industry for being the first holder of this certificate in the country.
S. Chand & Company, infact, is moving ahead with various innovations. Change is inevitable. It is a part of organisation's further development and progression. The Company has instituted Educational Awards, the first of its kind, in which the scholars and students are honoured for their outstanding performance in the field of education.
New concepts of marketing and product development have also been introduced. Introduction of Macintosh Computer System has helped us to enhance our production and maintain better quality control. The Company is also equipped with ERP and E-Commerce solutions to make a close networking of its branches and widespread distribution outlets within and outside the country.
