Changshu Dongfang Printing and Dyeing Factory (Changshu Huafang Knitting Co., Ltd, Changshu Mengxin Home Decoration Co., Ltd), established in 1992 (1999, 2001), is one of the "Hundred Strongest Enterprises in Changshu", a key enterprise in Guli Town, and a processing enterprise which combines grey fabric dyeing, printing, finish processing and after-treatment. Under the concerted efforts and hard work of the whole staff, the enterprise has experienced rapid development. At present, the factory covers an area of 120, 000 square meters, among which 80, 000 square meters are building lands. There are over 1200 administrative personnels and workers. 60 reserch and developing fellows, 80 persons in charge of the quality of the product. Its fixed assets are more than USD 25, 000, 000. The main productive equipment includes 55 dyeing machines, 10 forming machines, 8 flat printing machines, 4 cylinder printing machines, 2 sets of computerized testing and matching color system, a set of continuous washing machine, a set of continuous braising machine, imported 10 pieces producing of grain velour and the sewage disposal equipment which can deal with 10, 000 ton sewage a day. The yearly production capability of the enterpriseis dyeing more than 20 thousand tons, printing 120 million metres of cloth, and processing 900 thousand pi of grain velour. The products are provided for more than 20 provinces, cities and regions, and are exported to the countries in Asia, Europe, America and Middle East. In 2001, the enterprise realized the output value of USD30 million. Since its establishment, the enterprise has been serving the customers at home and abroad with its excellent service and good prestige. Since 1993, it has been honored one the "Hundred Strongest Enterprises in Changshu" for 8 successive years, "Star Enterprise" and "Civilized Unit" by municipal government.
