This 36 year old company, headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, provides the gamut of services for what is called "engineered air and solids handling systems" taking on everything from engineering consulting and computer drafting to equipment installation and system testing.

Osborn's specialty is engineering the upstream and downstream components of ferrous and non-ferrous shredding systems. Including conveyors, dust collection systems, trommels, eddy current non-ferrous separators and now featuring Lynxs Shredder Systems.

Osborn works with its customers to design and adapt its products to fit each recyclers facility, existing equipment and unique needs. This ensures that the customer not only gets what they want, but what they need.

The firm was not always focused on the scrap industry. When Tulsa entrepreneur Jack Osborn founded the firm in 1964, it served as a representative for a number of manufacturers of products. The company then put together complete systems for light industrial customers located mostly in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and the Texas panhandle.

Osborn first moved into the scrap recycling industry in 1972, when Universal Engineering Inc. Called on Osborn's expertise in dust collection/ pollution prevention for an auto shredding system that Universal was building for Standard Iron & Metal Co.

Gradually, the company began attracting attention from the scrap industry. The scrap ratio of business made gains, owing in part to the acquisition of the firm by Marlin Bills in 1986. (Bills joined the firm in 1974)

In response to the company's growth the company established it's first division office in 1993, located in Peoria Illinois, and directed by Ron Chandler who formerly worked for a Peoria based manufacturing company.
